Your Wedding Day Lookbook: A Collaboration

Inspired by the natural beauty of the island of Tobago, this Wedding Day Lookbook carries every essential part of this once in a lifetime event. From dresses and makeup packages to a variety of menu options for both food and wine as well as the more practical aspects such as location and video production services, this is truly a personalized and very customizable way of making your special day less stressful.

This concept is a collaboration between myself, Bella's Caribbean Delights and Island I Do's. Bella's Caribbean Delights can be found at: https://www.facebook.com/bellascaribbeandelights/?fref=ts
This blog focuses on sharing the unique dishes of the Caribbean Islands. Island I Do's as the name implies centers around personalizing your day with easy, cheap and unique diy crafts. Find out more at: https://www.facebook.com/islandidos/info/?tab=page_info

This collaboration was conceptualized to incorporate these three different blog content into one cohesive end product. The end result is this wedding day lookbook. As we all know, planning a wedding can be stressful and often takes away from the joy of the occasion, What better alternative is there to tearing your hair out? It also lends itself to a more spontaneous ceremony rather than the long, often drawn out process of starting from scratch.

On your special day choosing wine is also an important part of ensuring the overall cohesiveness of this event. Here are a few options that are extremely versatile no matter your choice of menu- sweet, spicy and everything in between!

Dry Reds
A Bordeaux is full bodied enough to tones down the extreme spices used and boost the overall flavour profiles without being too overpowering.
Sweet Red
A sweet red like Pinot Noir balances well with the multitude of herbs used to season a red meat like pork without masking any of the other tastes.
Semi Sweet Red
Either a good Merlot or a Cabernet Sauvignon will  stand up to the richness of a steak dinner, without overpowering the lightness of seafood.

 Crisp Whites
Pinot Grigio is a light and acidic accompaniment to, but full bodied enough to stand up with the richness of a red meat like beef.
Dry Whites
The acidity of a wine like Sauvignon Blanc helps to both boost the overall flavour profiles while it softens the extreme spices in this dish.
 Sweet Whites
A wine with an acidic base like an oaked Chardonnay pairs well with the buttery texture of the lobster as well the light side dishes .
